It's a steel Nuthatch crafted by the Metalbird Company. The idea originated in New Zealand by Phil Walters back in 2009 as a widespread art installation solely to "surprise, delight and intrigue" those who would happen upon them. They were installed on fences and power poles, and in parks and public spaces....anywhere Phil didn't think he would be arrested for doing so.We have a great view of it as we sit on our patio....it's a beautiful silhouette against the bright blue sky.....
...and the ever changing sunsets.
I couldn't be more delighted in my new little friend.
