"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Angie's Elm Tree

Just over a year ago my dear friend Tracie and her husband Loon, along with friends in their neighborhood, planted a tree in memory of my sister Angie who had recently passed away.  They planted it in the Orton Park...right across their street from their home in Madison, Wisconsin.  You can read about it here:

Today Tracie texted me with an update.

It's been a long cold road to spring in Wisconsin....but this "tenacious little Elm tree is leafing out and ready for spring."  Tracie knew Angie was a bit tenacious too.

Thank you Tracie....this is just what I needed today.
