"I do believe in an everyday sort of magic...the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone." Charles de Lint

Bits of Color

Like many places in the country....we're having unseasonably warm temperatures for early November.  And the crazy thing is that even warmer days are coming.  It makes it enjoyable to walk and do the last bit garden clean-up....but I do worry about climate change.

I took advantage of the weather and walked the yard....assessing what other clean-up and closure I need to do.

What caught my eye today was my New Love clematis shrub...it still looks really good. It just thrived this summer......and was full of pretty blue blooms late in the season.

And now remnants of the blooms are these awesome little curly things....and they're just a delight.

There are still bits of color and texture out there....but it's so clear that we have rounded the corner and fall is winding down. It's time for Mother Nature to rest.

And THIS....was Paul's e-bike odometer milestone today.

That's a lot of miles for just over a year and 1/2.  He rides almost every dry day.....and loves it.  Best retirement gift ever from Hancock Church.
